The Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System (ICS) was officially formed on 1 July 2022 as a result of the new Health and Care Act.

The purpose of Integrated Care Systems is to bring together organisations that provide health and care, local people, and other partners to work together to improve outcomes in population health and healthcare.

Norfolk and Waveney ICS has legal status and includes a statutory Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), and an Integrated Care Board (ICB) called NHS Norfolk and Waveney, which replaced the area’s clinical commissioning group (Norfolk and Waveney CCG). You can read more about who’s who in our ICS.
